hi,
My girlfriend is a mechanical engineer and has been working for the last 3 years. She is interested in migrating and from what i see mechanical engineers are on the Critical list. Are they any jobs for mechanical engineers with HVAC knowledge?
Thanks,
Adam

need a job urgently
Hi Sheelagh,
My name is Nisha and I'm from India. Right now me and my husband living in sunshine coast, QLD. My husband has been on student visa and I on dependent which is going to expire in march. So I'm looking for a sponsored job. I am qualified accountant and have six years of experience working back in India. We are willing to relocate to if such job is met with.
Kindly let me know if you can be of any help. It'll be very kind of you.
Regards,
Nisha

Welcome to the forum and my apologies for taking so long to respond to you.
Off the top of my head, the only agencies I know of that operate in the not-for-profit area is Job Seeker and Kylie Hammond. Give them a call and have a chat about what you are looking to do. If they cannot help you directly I am sure they will be able to give you names of organisations who may be interested.
You should also look at the employment opportunities being advertised by Pathways Australia.
The only other advice I can offer you is to search the internet for non-profit organisations in Australia and approach each one directly.
If I think of anything else in the meantime I'll post it here.
Kind regards
Sheelagh

Hi nisha
My apologies for not responding to your email or getting back to you on this forum. I have a number of health issues I have been dealing with over the last couple of years and after a couple of operations in early September, just now feeling well enough to start 'working' again.
Unfortunately, other than recommending you contact the main accounting firms in Australia directly and/or employment agencies that assist in placing accountants (you'll find a list at the beginning of this thread), there is not much more I can offer I'm afraid. As and when I come across positions which are being offered by companies who are open to sponsoring overseas applicants, I do post them on this forum so please keep an eye out for them - accounting jobs do come up now and again, and with the economy in Australia picking up there does seem to be an increase in accounting jobs being offered. Don't lose heart. Just keep looking and if we can help we will.

Hi Sheelagh
I have recently completed masters in Engineering from Swinburne Uni, Melbourne ( 1 yr course) and am now back in my home country - Malaysia. I am looking for employer sponsored jobs as I do not have recent 2 yrs working experience to apply for a GSM visa. I am more in favor for positions in Queensland and do not mind working in regional areas.
Any advice from you is appreciated. NB: I have also emailed you directly with my resume attached. Thank you

Hi Sheelagh, my name is Dominique. I am currently looking for employment anywhere and in any location. My husband and myself are in Melbourne for the past three year we have both been studying. I have been graduate from a Bachelor of Arts (Media and Communication) and my husband have been graduate in a Bachelor of Business (Marketing & Management). We are both looking for an employment to meet the DIAC requirement but we are finding it really hard as no one want to employ people who do not have experience as while studying it was hard for us to find part-time employment in what we studied.... So now we will be happy to find any employment that will give us experience and maybe PR later in the future. We are both currently on a Bridging Visa A for a TR application. Wwe are desperate can you help please or anyone reading this please feel free to contact me and give me advice
Thanks

I am an Air conditioning specialist
HI Sheelagh,
I am an air conditioning specialist, have been working with a nuber of manufacturers over the years and presently work for Mitsubishi in the UK. but I have an ambition to relocate to Perth, to be honest I am 5 points short of the 65 - in relation to applying for a 176 visa. Do you think I could get an employer to sponsor or have an employer provide a two year contract - which i believe would satisfy the points required?
I look forward to your responce.
Nick

Searching for a hairdressing opportunity
Hello,
My name is Val & I am a newbie on here!
I am just putting the feelers out at the moment as I understand that hairdressers have now been dropped off the list sadly. But I have loads of qualifications!
I am ideally looking for a hairdresser/stylist opportunity in Perth.
I am currently living in Truro, Cornwall in the UK. I currently run and manage my own salon here. I have 18 years experience in the hairdressing industry. I am qualified to NVQ level 2 standard. I am also a level 2 qualfied beauty therapist and have a range of other beauty diplomas within hair and beauty. Other qualifications I have are; Level 2 gym instruction and Level 3 personal trainer award.
If any employers wish to see work I have done and the salon I own etc then they can view my facebook page https://www.facebook.com/lushhairandbeautyboutiqueltd
Thank you very much,
Val

Hi there.
Are you aware of any Employers that specialise in the Baking and patisserie fields in QLD that are willing to sponsor a Qualified and Experienced candidate?
Thank you in advance.
