There are only few agents providing general advise in this public forum. Not all these agents, including me, are experienced to give off the cuff response to uncommon procedural matter, especially if such questions referes to variable adminsitrative procedures. To respond with with professional credibility and accountability to a unfamiliar situation calls for the agent to work through a plethora of interealated legislation, and that takes time. DIAC officers do visit these public forums and monitor the discussions in the forum. They will note any agent who gives improper advise, as this was confirmed to me by a very senior DIAC officer.
Given the above background, if a question such as yours does not receive a response within reasonable time than it may well mean the question is of such nature that it would take time to investigate to provide a correct response . Most agents that I know are very very busy now, given the laws are changing so rapidly and most agents caught up with a situation of having to undertake many hours of investigative research time.
