ZALEG English Gymnasium
*ZALEG was developed by Amin Rahman a passionate singer (and also migration agent) who, for the last five years, has been a member of The Melbournaires (www.melbournaires.com), Victoria’s leading all male acapella ensemble singing 4-part harmony in the barbershop style. He sings regularly in local gigs for different groups and participates, when time and funds permit, in national and international barbershop conventions.
Amin has lived and worked in eight countries on five continents and has developed an interest in languages, sounds and accents. He is currently working on the development of different vocal exercises which he hopes will help people from diverse countries and regions make 'foreign' sounds with which they have difficulty or find impossible and, in the process, change their English accent from a regional/national one to what is known as the 'BBC' or 'Oxford' accent.
Aussies not happy about how they speak English may like to try these exercises too when they are ready and published!
