Vetassess skills assessment negative
Hi there,
I received a negative skills assessment outcome for "Hotel Manager". My Hotel Management degree obtained in Germany in 2004 was assessed positively, however my work experience was not seen as highly relevant to the nominated occupation.
As it only goes back 5 years from now on I used:
Assistant Hotel Finance & Accounts Manager. I provided a detailed reference letter covering all ANZSCO tasks for "Hotel Manager". (I was also doing regular Duty Manager shifts.) Not accepted by Vetassess
I am currently in Australia on my 2nd Working Holiday Visa and have been working as a Duty Manager for 6 months (this employment was accepted, but insufficient as 1 year minimum requirement.
I have a 2-year gap within the last 5 years as I took a "career break".
I was working in Duty Manager positions before 5 years back -Hospitality Management career including apprenticeship since 1997. A detailed resume was also sent to Vetassess.
I already went for reassessment and provided more documents for the Assistant Hotel Finance & Accounts Manager position including a statutory declaration explaining the amount of Duty Manager tasks involved.
In case of a negative outcome I have the option to go for an appeal. No further documents can be provided.
Is this all a waste of money? It seems Vetassess can do/decide whatever they want.
