Default 835/115 .. please help!

let me explain my situation a little more clearly .. I am currently on a 457 visa .. and have applied for the "remaining relative" visa .. next year, my 457 expires and I'll get a BVA .. now the queue for the remaining relative stream is 16 years .. and there's a condition on the BVA that I work for the same employer .. I can't work for the same employer for 16 years .. I am getting amazing job offers from outside Australia .. but for the 835 you have to be onshore when its granted, otherwise it's rejected .. now I've read you can't convert a 835 (onshore) to a 115 (onshore visa) .. does this mean I'll have to withdraw my 835 application and apply for the 115?

if anyone can offer some assistance, I'd really appreciate it ..

There is a way to change the condition on your Bridging Visa A.

thank you so much for your reply .. and for pointing out this form! ..

just had a few questions:

suppose I leave the country and my bridging visa B expires .. can I use this form to get a bridging visa A, if a decision on my "substantial" visa .. (i.e. remaining relative) one hasn't been made?

isn't it unlawful to leave on a bridging visa A?

It is not. But the BVA does not have a travel option, which means, that you may not come back with it.

No need for BVA. The BVB is just as good.

Default confused ..

now, I realize a BVA is to be able to stay in the country awfully .. if you want to travel .. you apply for a BVB .. and you're granted, usually one for 3 to 6 months ..

as soon as my BVA kicks in (right now I'm on a 457) .. I can apply for a BVB? .. live abroad, overstaying the BVE limits .. and when it's time to come back for the visa grant .. use form 1005 to get a BVA/BVB? .. really?
