Not meeting Health Requirements,Please Help.
Hello Guys,
I am in bit of trouble, please experts do reply..
I have lodged my 885 application, got Case Officer recently.. She sent me an email saying that I have not met the Health Requirements as my medical condition can result in significant cost to Australian Health Sector, and Community..She has given me 28 days to comment on this of Medical Nature for consideration..
I have Coarctation of Aorta, which can be cured with a Cardiac Surgery..It is a birth Defect. My surgeon has clearly written on a letter that my condition is treatable with a low risked operation. I will be normal after that operation. He has also booked for an operation in February. It is a one time operation.. I believe my expenses would not be more than $35000(new significant cost threshold) I have emailed MOC all this information just recently.
I have also argued with my Case officer, that i can get my condition treated back home sooner than Australia, but she has not yet given green signal..
Guys, what according to you could the ways to get away with it. I m sure there must be something..
Best Regards

Responding to DIAC,s request for comments under Natural Justice (before visa refusal) is a time drawn researched process for each medical condition . It requires detailed submission on cost, use of medical resources, prognosis, citing of precedant cases , etc. I for one would not be able to respond to such Schedule 4 questions flipantly. My advise is if you want to secure your visa , spend some time and money and seek professioal assistance, and do not rely on Do-It= Self approach.
I hope this comment is no way meant to suggest that applicants in such a situation MUST use an agent, then point I am making is that Medical Condiction cases involves complex decsion making and it is best the visa applicant works as a team with an Migration Agent experienced in medical condition cases.
Best of luck

As Robert pointed out, these are highly specialised matters. You can't expect agents on this forum to address complex individual cases like this for free and without access to all relevant documentation and expert medical advice.

Hi sshz44,
I am really sorry about your daughter's condition. Hope she recovers soon.
My niece also is facing similar issue. Her condition is called "Tricuspid Atresia". She lacks tricuspid valve in her heart along with a chamber. She underwent surgery within a month after birth and next surgery is due in next 8 months. Her family is trying to migrate to Australia. We need to know whether we will be successful in securing PR for her. Please share your experience. That would be helpful for us.
