Default Alzheimer's disease

My daughter-in-law's parents have submitting an offshore parent migration visa some time ago. They are still waiting for it to be processed. Her father has dementia at the time of submission of application. Lately the illness has deteriorated. He now cannot even recognised his wife and needs help to do toileting and others.
He is currently staying in a "nursing home" in Penang, Malaysia. Just wonder whether we should withdraw his application. Our concern is that if he fails the health examination then his wife application will be rejected. Also the family financial status does not enable them to put him in age care in Australia. Your help is most appreciated.
