Visa 457 to 856 after 2 years

Hello,

Someone could please explain the VISA 457 to 856?

After I work for 2 years for my employer Will I be able to lodge for the VISA 856.

My question is:

- Do I have to work more 3 years to get the PR? Or as soon I apply and get the OK from the imigraton the PR will be granted?

Hi,

We've only been here for 7 months and we're already entitled to apply for PR. I think this is because we have desirable qualifications and earning capacity? My husband is an acoustic engineering consultant and I am a social worker.

The company my husband works for is paying for PR as we just lost our LAFH allowance. It's costing $4500 but we could apply & cost it ourselves.
