need urgent help

Hi everyone,
I had applied for a spouse visa on 21/01/2010 onshore(inside Australia) I was on Tourist visa at that time.
We sent a notice of intending marriage on 05/01/2010 and registered the marriage on 08/02/2010.
I used the date of intending marriage on my application as my marriage date.
Now the case officer wants me to withdraw the application and reapply again with the correct date of marriage otherwise my application will be refused.
Any one can advice me regarding this matter.

Ask the case officer, if you can provide a Form 1023 instead, as this was an honest mistake. If he says no try and talk to a supervisor.

Do you think its better to have migration agent expert on the case ?
If yes, Do you recommend someone dealt with this problem before?
