Hello,

I'm ready to send my documents to my wife overseas with the exception of one to take care of. So I am seeking urgent advice!

My grandmother is one of a few people writing a Stat Dec on Form 888. However she has no birth certificate, marriage certificate, and she handed in her license to the RTA last year - so she has no proof of identity. But she is receiving the pension and has a pension card etc. How can we go about getting relevant identification to include with her Stat Dec? She also wrote a beautiful letter about my wife and I so I certainly do not want to omit her Stat Dec/Letter.

Many thanks!

You can only do the best you can do. You COULD get a birth cert for her if you had time. Wouldn't take that long. Otherwise just use the pension card. She won't have a pension if she's not a permanent resident. I'd think it would be highly unlikely they'd question her on this.
