Hi guys,

I am waiting for my employer sponsored permanent visa nominated by an australian university. i lodged my application 1 year ago and it's not been still finalized. i am not surprised with this delay as during my staying in australia for more than 4 years with 457 visa i had 2 traffic violations, drunk driving and driving with suspended license. i do have extremely good references from my university, but still, perhaps, there is a big chance that i'll be rejected. what do you think?

sorry for not replying in time, i haven't visited this site since my first appearance here as there was no email informing me about a reply to my question :).

I have got 3-month suspension of my driver license for my drunk driving and than additional 9-month suspension for driving with suspended license - total suspension of driver license for a year. i have got back my license on May.

it has been already 13 months since my visa application and still i am with my bridging visa... :(

i have just contacted my case officer and she told me: "Everything in place instead of the results of character check. I can't do anything without that. We are waiting for the results of your extended character check from an external agency based in Sydney". I guess that that agency might be the AFP who are processing my extended character check.
