Dear Sir/Madam

My name is Nadezda Apet, D.O.B. 19th of April 1984, passport number. I am Russian citizen and permanent resident of Hungary.
Currently I am overseas on BVB that expires on the 7th of March.

I would muchly appreciate your advice regarding my onshore EGSM application lodged on 26th September 2006. Please do not neglect this letter.

I have been in Australia for the last 9 years, I have college Diploma in Business Administration, Bachelor Degree in Int Bus Mgt and Certificate III in Cookery. For the last 3 years I have been working full-time for Virgin Blue Airlines as a Ground Crew.

I have lodged onshore EGSM application for permanent residency (880) on 26th of September 2006 as cook occupation as I am still waiting for my application to be finalised. All I know it is on the very final stages and pending.

As I know my application was on the final stages since 2007 and it was definitely not my fault that more than 2 years Adelaide Skilled Migration office was not capable of demonstrating any compassion toward my case. It was miss communication between the Immi office and the "ASIO" .

I feel neglected and unfairly treated, living in uncertainty and instability. The complaint to Ombudsman office in Canberra has been lodged, unfortunately nothing changed; the offices just blame each other.

I am aware of new changes regarding GSM and changes in priority processing. Few months ago I was advise that my case is unlikely to be finalised at the end of 2011.

I would muchly appreciate your advice regarding when my application would be finalised and if I have any hope;

Looking forward hearing from you.

Muchly appreciate your time and effort.

Best Regards,

Hello Nadezda Apet

I have sent you an email advising you should return to Australia before your bridging visa B expires. On shore you will have appeal rights, and theremay be some concessions given to on shore applicants who had applied before 1st September 2007.

Dear Sheelagh
no, still waiting and am told that our medicals and police clearance has run out, which is so frustrating. I dont mind repeating but its not free.i have provided everything needed and if ASIO took all the time (more than 11 months) why should we need to repeat. It is really unfair.

Please give me an insight on why the are talking this long, we have been decent and resposible citizens, never had any brush with the law anywhere, we are from kenya which is classified as high risk and that is all. We have been waiting so patiently but it seem forever, i wonder if people have been in this boat before.as far as we are concern we have clean records ever so do not understand what they are checking forever, i feel like our life is suspensed somewhere in the space.

Sorry just to give abit of what was going on, am starlight above but forgot my passward after a while, so had to register again.
awaiting reply

Hi starlight

Sorry to take so long to get back to you - I have unfortunately been dealing with massive health issues and just back to normal (sort of).

I can appreciate your frustration. There is very little you or anyone can do however to speed up security checks. As it is an employer sponsored visa you are applying for I would be sending a polite email to my case officer every couple of weeks though to find out if there has been any news. Not that they can do anything really but at least it will give you peace of mind that DIAC have not forgotten about your application :).
