PLEASE NOTE THAT THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION IS NOT YET OFFICIAL
It has been suggested by some close to this issue that DIAC's new policy from the 1st Jan will include the following amendments:
Abolishment of permanent residency for VET courses
18 months temporary visa with restricted work rights
students will have too work in the nominated occupation for 12 to 18 months (20 or 30 hrs per week)
This is all that is known at this stage. Further information/clarification about the upcoming changes will be provided on these forums as and when possible.
