The northern capital of Russia, St. Petersburg, now has a British Book Centre for students, teachers of the English language and anyone who wants to improve his English language skills. The Centre is located in the “Izmaylovskaya” library.
The Centre shelves are full of textbooks, reference books, dictionaries, encyclopedias, modern British literature, art, design, business and management books. The Centre also has materials for preparation to IELTS and Cambridge certificate ESOL, as well as audio and video materials.
The Centre visitors will have free access to British websites and electronic resources of British universities. Main aim of the Centre is popularization of British literature and attracting new readers. The Centre will organize various events, dedicated to eminent writers and people of art and culture.
