I am not really sure about that.My 457 visa was aprroved on 5th August 2008.I am not sure about the ASCO code but I work as an Education Counsellor.
I have an overseas Bachelors of Commerce Qualification. Will I qualify after two years of work in Australia?

Lalith,

You will have to obtain the information from the Agent.

I just attended a 457 seminar and DIAC stated that a number of employees are not working in the nominated occupation.

Q. information about applying for residency if the ENS is not applicable.Am I elgible to apply by myself and when would I be eligible?

A. Applicants can apply themselves for any visa without using an agent
But you do need to select a visa for which you will be eligible otherwise that is just like throwing money away.
Have a look at www.immi.gov.au and there is a Viza Wizard there that may help you.

You are correct Digger. There is no requirement for applicants to use the services of a migration agent and the decision is entirely optional.

I have started another thread called “To use an agent or not use an agent? That is the question" (http://forum.migrationhelp.com.au/showthread.php?p=1985#post1985) which discusses the use of migration agents.
