The sooner the Australian government delinks the export of Australian education to the resident status the better it would be. There is no net gain to Australia on the 14 billiion annual revenue, as no one has computed the outflow of funds annually repatriated by stsuents to repay their loan and support their families.
It is forgone outcome that the export of education will be cleaned up and the educational institutions will be restuctured. Only the big institutions like the universities will survive on a lean annual budget.
